Question

Enable Simscape Multibody Link Creo-Pro/E Plug-In

I'm trying to follow the directions, from:

https://www.mathworks.com/help/smlink/ref/linking-and-unlinking-simmechanics-link-software-with-proengineer.html

So I can access the toolkit and simulate my assembly in Simulink, but I can't seem to find the protk.dat file the website mentions.

I looked in the configuration files that PTC Creo is running and the protk.dat file wasn't there either. I attached a screenshot below.

How should I go about this?

Hi,

https://www.mathworks.com/help/smlink/ref/linking-and-unlinking-simmechanics-link-software-with-proengineer.html page tells you that you have to create protk.dat.

Open Notepad and put into it something like this:

name Simscape Multibody Link
startup dll
exec_file matlabroot\bin\os\cl_proe2sm.dll
text_dir matlabroot\toolbox\physmod\smlink\cad_systems\proe\text
unicode_encoding false
end

Then save the file as protk.datPlease check that file file name is really protk.dat (prevent the creation of protk.dat.txt file).
