Student license renewal

I got a student license dated May 2024 for Creo 9.1 which is shown as valid when installing version 11 but when starting the program got error -21: do I can renew he license or I have to retrieve the older version? (just to avoid mess with uninstalling the newest and installing the older). Thanks

Hi,

if you open <INSTALL_DIR>\Creo 11.0.0.0\Common Files\help\reference\pma\usascii\flex.pdf and go to page 256 you will see following information:

-21   License file does not support this version.

This means that license file located in C:\ProgramData\PTC\Licensing directory contains license code which does not enable you to launch Creo 11.0.

Please read following documents

https://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo11_unistudent_standard.pdf

Thank you Martin, but following the attached procedure a license for 10.1 is generated and still doesn't work with Creo 11
any further suggestion to solve?

Hi,

the picture shows Creo View 10.1 license. I do not know why license file does not contain Creo View 11.0 license.

Suggestion: Send your question directly to PTC via e-mail. Use e-mail address academicsupport@ptc.com

See https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Education-Forum/Creo-installation-stuck-at-processing/m-p/828065#M13079 discussion.

Maybe @Alex_Cazacu  can answer your question, too

Indeed the license is for Creo looks like a Creo 10 license and it is not working for Creo 11. If you wish to use Creo 11, please use the guider provided to license Creo 11:
