Error "Version already exists, cannot create a duplicate" when checking out item

Hi,

We are using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS14

We have observed recently that when a user tries to perform a checkout on some item, an error occurs. The same error appears when trying the same manipulation with an admin account.

The error is the following :
WARNING : Version already exists, cannot create a duplicate

The concerned items are not edited from any CAD software. Only attributes are edited from the Windchill interface.
Did anyone face the same issue in the past?
Any clue on what could be happening here?

Hi @TFOA 

I would open TS Case to get healing script. even though the 11.0 is not supported anymore. 

 

It seams that it can be a serious trouble.

How can I manage to open a support case at PTC when we use an unsupported version?

I have been trying to do so in the first place but I was redirected to the PTC Community forum during the process.

When you are opening the case, select the supported version.
