Can anyone suggest how can I get jar files or how can i do the integration with API bcz we r suggesting doing without OSLC.

Hi @NS_10797603

You have to set the libraries in your Eclipse environment You need to add the jar files manually if they are not added automatically.

Here is an example from InteliJIdea

Hi @NS_10797603

Integrating Windchill with Codebeamer via APIs can be challenging—especially when you're dealing with authentication, session handling, and tool-specific dependencies like JARs. Here are a few things to consider:

Why Building Your Own Integration Can Be Problematic:

  • Tool Complexity: Windchill and Codebeamer both have deep, structured data models—mapping entities correctly (e.g., parts, BOMs, change requests) isn’t straightforward.
  • Authentication Challenges: Windchill uses session-based authentication. If JARs or environment configs are missing, establishing a session through custom code becomes unreliable.
  • Maintenance Overhead: Any API changes, version upgrades, or field structure updates can break your custom logic—leading to fragile integrations.
  • Traceability Risk: Custom integrations often miss relationships, attachments, or change history—making traceability and audits harder.

Why Consider a Purpose-Built Integration like OpsHub:

  • Out-of-the-box support for Windchill and Codebeamer (no OSLC dependency needed)
  • Federated sync of structured data, workflows, and hierarchies across both systems
  • Maintains context, traceability, and change history automatically
  • No manual handling of sessions, JARs, or authentication—OpsHub handles it securely
  • No plugins or performance drag on either system
