I read that the EMS can be resided the "Black Box" in the EMS Tethered Edge Deployment Model.

I want to know specifically what is the "Black Box" Equipment and how  deploy EMS in the "Black box".

In most use cases that 'black box' would be a Gateway that is able to connect to the devices and take their information and expose that to the EMS so it can be transmitted to the Thingworx platform.

So a 'black box' can:
1. connect to the devices (hardwire, rf, bluetooth etc)
2. within the box there is software to interpret what is coming in from the devices and convert that to something the EMS can transmit to Thingworx. (This can either come built-in with the box or is something that you have to add with the EMS)
3. provides internet connection (wifi, cellular, wired, etc)

Like a Gateway, again something that can take the incoming device connection and convert that to a network (http/websockets) signal
