Displaying data items that has empty string value

Hi,

I am uploading a string type data item that can be an empty string.

When I view that the value on the Enterprise it is shown as an empty string on the ‘Current data’ view, but as a question mark on the 'Historical' view.

Can some explain why this is the case?
