EMS Java disconnects

I'm running the Java EMS and it seems to disconnect from the server after about an hour of running fine. The ems looks to be still running, all I can see in the log that raises any flags is a message "Client has been idle". If I kill and restart the EMS, it connects and communicates fine for another hour or so until it loses communication again.
