Request for Support – Hide/Disable Individual Parts in ThingView Widget

I am using ThingWorx Platform Release 9.2 and DatecodeSP11 We are currently using ThingWorx 9.2.11 with Windchill Navigate. We are using the OOTB Windchill Navigate services to retrieve and populate a 3D model in the ThingView widget within a ThingWorx Mashup. Our requirement is to hide or disable specific parts/components of the loaded 3D model. We do not want to hide the complete model. Instead, we need to selectively control the visibility of individual parts or components within the 3D model displayed in ThingView. Could you please confirm whether ThingView supports this functionality in ThingWorx 9.2.11? and is there any workaround

Hello,

I can’t remember if 9.2 have support for it but I am most certain it have. We have the functionality in place to hide, focus on, and isolate separate parts and components in an assembly at least since 9.4

Hello @MK_11031954,

You may be able to achieve the result you are looking for through the ThingView Widget’s Data and DataFormatter properties (see the Windchill Navigate Help Center). Otherwise, you may need to create multiple view states to toggle between in the Widget to get the desired effect. You may also want to post this question in the Windchill Navigate or Creo Communities for further help.

Best regards, Nathaniel
