Unable to install ThingWorx 9.4

I've been trying to install Thingworx 9.4
Java - 11.0.21
Apache tomact - 10.1.15
Postgres 16.0-1

After deploying Thingworx.war in webapps, when I start the server, Thinworx is not starting. I get error message FAIL - Application at context path /Thingworx could not be started.

 

I've attached apache logs along with post.

Hi @Akj7579 ,

 

As per the release matrix which shared on above post. Can you please do the installation based on that? Beacuse Im not sure whether TWX 9.4 will run on Tomact 10.x. Kindly follow the attached matrix PDF.'s It will helps to find the exact issue in your environment.

 

  • Apache Tomcat 9.0.75 
  • Oracle JDK 11.0.16
  • PostgreSQL 13+ / PostgreSQL 14+/PostgreSQL 15.2+
  • Thingworx 9.4.2 / Thingworx 9.4.1

Hi @Akj7579 ,

 

Based on quick search found some couple links based on your Thingworx Manual Installation . Kindly have look on it. It ,may hepls you.

FAIL - Application at context path /Thingworx could not be started" is displayed

FAIL - Application at context path /Thingworx could not be started

 

Please try to install everything at C: drive by creating all the ThingWorx folders at

  • C:\ThingworxBackupStorage
  • C:\ThingworxPlatform
  • C:\ThingworxStorage

Also please find the below attached release matrix for TWX 9.4 for your confirmation.

    Hi @Akj7579 , 

     

    I couldn't able to find the apache logs in your post. Can you please reshare it here?

     

    Please check the Database server can able to access from Thingworx server incase of any firewall blockages and also check the Database with required Thingworx Tables are created by the admin credentials of Username & Password that were given in PlatformSettings.json file.

     

    Another way to install TWX Foundation Installer 9.4 PostgreSQL  by direct installation.
