About 3D model following in mobile projects

Can the 3D model be tracked like the Tagalong property of the 3D panel?

The reason I am asking that is because I want to know if the direction I am looking in is the X, Y, or Z axis in a mobile project. We believe that knowing this will make it easier to navigate the 3D model using the 2D buttons.
