Question:
Do you set access control policies for EPMDocument?
Or is it best to just set them for WTObject to catch everything?

Always set access control policies on individual objects. Never use WTObject. It allows for more flexibility when you start to control more objects other than EPMDocuments (ProE) in your Windchill PLM system. ProE is only 5% of the Windchill PLM solution. Windchill PDMLink/ProjectLink goes way beyond Pro/PDM or ProI. Attached is the overview of the complete windchill solution as it pertains to integrate to multiple functional groups.


One word of advice for PLM Experts, never follow CAD methology for a PLM tool. Every CAD methodology is different. You have to have a standardized change management process for all CAD files to follow.
