Adding parameters to objects in Intralink

All,

We are on Intralink 3.4 M030 and are trying to find out if there is a way to add parameters to all files in Intralink without versioning them? Using Toolkit or some other approach.

Thanks Steve

Steve,

You can do this via SQL.

I would also be very interested in understanding how to accomplish this task...

We also have a need to "push" Intralink attributes into a bunch of legacy Pro/E parts. Can you please provide us with some more details? 🙂

Here's the approach that I would consider:

1) Add the object attribute required in the Intralink Admin area
2) Populate the values of the objects using updates in oracle

Models checked out after this should have the new parameter and
value you have defined.

You can use the basis of this article for #2:

Feel free to email me directly if you have any questions.
