Question

Attribute mapping

I have 4 global attributes in my CAD document. I have added the same 4 global attributes to my WTPart. When I auto-associate the attributes don’t map to the WTPart attributes. Is there anything special that I need to do? I thought that as long as I had the same attribute name in both the CAD document and the WTPart they would automatically map over.

Thanks again for all your help.

Create soft attributes in CAD Doc that match the parameters names in CAD (uppercase) for implicit mapping, otherwise you need to create mapping rules. Don't add those attributes to the WTPart, becasue theattributes of the CAD Doc will be visible from the part once there is an association. In preferences you can filter which attributesare passed from the CAD Doc.
