Can someone explain the relationship explorer

I noticed that the above the tabs listed for an item ie; Details, Structure, Content, Related Object, History, Relationship Explorer, the item is listed with a different version than what I uploaded. Next to this description with different revision there is an icon that when hovered over says 'Shared to a project'. When I look in the Relationship Explorer tab, there is somewhat of a pic with the same description info of the new rev, however I cannot open it up to see what exactly it is. Where is this coming from and how can I view this document with the new rev?
