Cannot rename files - Windchill 10.1

What would cause ACM to no longer allow users to rename files?

As far as I know, permissions have not been altered. Users that were able to rename files a week ago are no longer able to do so.

Is there somewhere specific I should look to investigate what might have happened?

What is ACM?

The Modify Identity permission enables the Rename action for users - allowing editing of Number, Name and (for CAD Doc only) filename. The Modify Identity action is on the master, affecting all Versions The permission must be granted for each state in the object's Version history.

If a user has Modify Identity permission for In Work but not for Released and they attempt to rename / renumber an object at B.2 that has A.3 at Released, it will fail.

Sorry for the confusion...Arbortext Content Manager instead of using the name Winchill.
