copy geometry -ghost(incomplete) object

In assembly , many parts are created using copy geometry option and the reference copy geometry model are not available .

When uploading into windchill it is showing ghost(incomplete) object .

So , is it ok to create dummy part in the name of copy geometry model to avoid ghost object?

Haris,

You can do that, but you can also use the "Auto resolve incomplete objects" option in the check in options window:

You can also set the default behavior for this option upon check in within Preference Management (shown below is 10.2):

Enabling the preference will allow you to avoid creating the dummy objects and will cause Windchill to ignore the ghost object (assuming the ghost object is not a required dependent--in that case check in will still fail).
