Customize file open dialog

Is it possible to add or remove colums (parameters) in the Pro/E file open/save diolog when connected to a ProductPoint-Server? If yes, where can that be done?

We plan to support customizing the columns and column order in the Pro/E File > Open/Save dialog with ProductPoint 2.0 and the next release of Pro/E Wildfire. Expect to see this capabililty approximately 10 months from now.

The approach we plan to support is as follows:

1. You can define multiple search result views in the browser (this is planned for ProductPoint 2.0 M010 ~May 2010)

2. In each view you specify what columns to display in which order and how the view is filtered and sorted

3. You can specify that one of these server views is the default view to use in your Pro/E File > Open/Save dialog when connected to ProductPoint

4. You can pick from any of these views from within Pro/E

In the meantime, we encourage you to take full advantage of all the server-side search functionality that is supported from within Pro/ENGINEER (when connected to ProdutPoint to identify files (single and variable character wild cards etc.)
