Delete user >> Re-assign UI broken

Friday, we deleted one user, selecting "Delete from both Windchill and LDAP." Today, when you attempt to re-assign, the system presents a message that it cannot find some number - which turns out to be the ida2a2 of the deleted user (known from looking ata rehosted system).


We think that we saw this before once and we don't remember the fix. Tech support call pending - no help so far.


Any ideas on how to fix?

We stopped all, deleted Tomcat cache and restarted. All now working. In general, we never delete users - move them to a "left the company" group instead.

But - wow! Just deleting a user breaks the re-assign UI, and requires this restart with clearing the cache. If this is repeatable PTC should put a big red warning sign on this UI:

Could this have anything to do with the Principle Cache? Restarting
certainly cleared it but it that where the disconnect lies?
