Error: invalid parameter column definition

We recently migrated from Intralink 3.4/WF3 to PDMLink10.0/CreoElements(WF5) A user checked out an existing assembly drawing, added another instance to the assembly family table, and is now unable to check it in. He gets this error: invalid parameter column definition. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?
