Font color in Activity screen for a workflow task?

Dear Experts,
I had a request to modify the color of the text for a variable in for a workflow activity.
Here is what I added in the activity tab for the assigned activity:
{rebuildStatus}
It displays as red in the email, but not in the browser:

Example email:
You have been assigned a Verify Software Release Package in Software Transfer Area .
