Help on idnetifying workspaces

Hi,



We are working on Pro/E WF3 and using PDMLink Windchill 9.0 as PDM tool.



We are having 3 machines and are used by 4 different team members. Is
there any method to find how many workspaces are created by our team in
all these machines? The report should give user name/machine name (or
number) and workspace name.

Are you referring to the server side or the client side? The client side
is just a cache folder. Workspaces live on the server. For example, on
machine 1, I create a workspace which creates an object on the server
and a cache area on machine 1. I go over to machine 2 and active that
same workspace. Nothing new on the server side since its the same
workspace. On machine 2, a cache area is created for that workspace.



Make sure that you are using something similar to the OOTB settings if
the machines are shared. If you point the workspace folders to a common
location, then users will be writing to the same folders (VERY BAD).
The default is to location the cache area in the users profiles folder
so its based on who's logged into windows. From there, it's a simple
matter of listing the folders to know what workspaces are cached on that
machine. Do you know batch scripting?

Log in as an Administrator and go to Home > Workspaces. At the buttom you
will find a table named "Other user's workspaces" where you can get a
users workspaces listed.
