We are on PDMLink 9.0 M080 and WF3 M220. These are supposed to be the builds that support IE8. I have installed Internet Explorer 8 on several computers and subsequently had to uninstall it and put IE7 back. None of them with IE8 run correctly. As a test I even set it to Display all web sites in compatibility mode. When I start Pro/E is gives me a message:

The Internet Explorer 8 Embedded Browser failed to initialize properly and is running in Internet Explorer 7 Compatibility Mode.

It does let me log in but then when I select my workspace it opens a separate browser to show my workspace and the address bar is in my profile directory: C:\Documents and Settings...

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I only received one response that suggested to update to 9.1.

However, from what we can see on the boards the indexing is not ready for prime-time and many are not happy at all with 9.1.
