Keyword Search Clarification Related to Versions

Is it supposed to be possible to restrict keyword searches to not display old versions of objects in PDMLink 5.4 M050?

Here is what I am a seeing.

I have a phrase that I need to remove in an Arbortext object that has some a couple of versions (1 & A) and a few iterations (1.2, 1.1, 1.0 & A.0) tied to those versions.

I checkout the object (A.0) which is the current version and remove the phrase. Then check it in.

Now I go to search for the phrase.

I get results that include the 1.2 version of the object. I don’t want to see that object because I have removed the phrase for the latest version (Now A.1).

I assume I just have a setting wrong but I cannot seem to find it.

In my advance search, I have set the search “Criteria” to include only the latest iteration and latest version.

In my preferences I have set the “latest version search” to “yes”.
