Owner Association in Windchill

Is it possible to select a simplified rep from a Pro/E model to be an owner or does Windchill always look at the MASTER REP? We have some situations where an assembly may have two variations of the same part so we would have two different simplified reps that show the master or optional subcomponent.

The master basically has both constrained in the same location.
