Process planning (work instructions) and MPMLink
Has anyone implimented MPMLink to define manufacturing process planning (work instructions)?
We currently use CIMx CS/CAPP, but only to define the work instructions (Operations, Steps, etc).
All else is maintained in our corporate MIS/ERP/MRP/PLM system, including the BOM's (designed, as-built, as-matained).
It has been suggested that we look into MPMLink.
If you have deployed MPMLink, and use it to define work instructions, would you share your experience?
If MPMLink was used to replace other software, can you offer some insight as to why that decision was made, and how it worked out?
