PTC System Monitor on Oracle

Hi All,


Anyone using PSM to monitor Windchill and the oracle db? I have seen an issue where our oracle backup (EXP) wont run because the user for the windchill db is connected under PSM so the back up fails.


I thought that I would just stop the server and collector during the back up but this then caused the agents to hang and the only way to get these back online was to restart the Windchillserver.


Any hints or suggestions would be great please

Hi,

I would suggest trying to stop the PSM Oracle Monitor from running instead of stopping the PSM server and collector. You can do so by going to the Tasks and Monitors dashboard and RMB to stop or suspend it.
