Hi experts,

I'm trying to save space on my server.

I used Purge Manager to delete the oldest iteration of all obljects.

It works fine and on Windchill I don't see the oldest itereations.

But files are phisically still on server vaults...

Any ideas? Am I missinig something?

Thanls in advance,

Luca

How are purging old iterations and revisions if they are still tied to assemblies, drawings, other objects? I have had no luck with this in Windchill 10.0 M020. Please share your knowledge.

Thanks,

Buddy Hudson

Hi Buddy,

look at this:

http://communities.ptc.com/docs/DOC-2432

Before to confirm Purge command you can see what system is purging...

It is very helpful.

Hey Luca,

This is for 9.1, I am currently on 10.0 M020. It has changed somewhat but I know the general idea is the same.

Thanks!

Hi Luca

After purging the old iteration from the database, the files become unreferenced. To remove the unreferenced files from the vault, go to Vault Configuration (Site - Utilities - File Server Administrator), select the vault and in the menu, select remove unreferences files.

Best regards
