The most time intensive operations we've found within PDMLink relate to dependency collection (large assemblies at John Deere) and downloads to the workspace.
I haven't received any responses to this question thus far; a couple of requests for additional information. I am interested to hear what other companies are seeing/doing with this.
I'll compile any results I get this week next Monday (01 Feb).
