Rehost help

Hi all,

I have a rehost scenario that I hope those that support Replica files
servers can help me out with. Without getting into the details of WHY
(I'm splitting 1 site into 2 for another division), I need to do the
following;



Scenario;

Current production 9.1 Intralink setup

Master Site A

File server Site B (mastered and replicated content)



New rehosted setup

Rehost Site A to new host, Site C (new URL), Master Site A to remain in
production

File Server Site B connected to new Rehosted Site C



So I need the new Site C server to use Site B as the File server and be
able to access the mastered content on that server. Site A does not need
access to the Mastered content on File Server Site B after the rehost
(even though there will still be meta data on A that exists for that
content)



The Rehost guide has very little information on performing a Rehost on a
system that has a File server w/mastered content. Has anyone attempted
this and what are the steps beyond what is described in the Rehost
guide?

Bob,


I think you can do something like this


1) Rehost Site A to Site C


2) Disconnect Replica SiteB from Site A


3) Regerate master key on Site C after rehosting and copy this master key to replica Site B


4) Verify connectivity and sync Master Site C with replica Site B.

As per re-host guide comments , you need to create PTC to check if you can do the re-host.


Please share your experiences if you are done with this.
