Right Click to Download PDF Customization?
Hi guys, Windchill's new "Additional Files" mechanism allows Windchill to easily create nice PDFs, STEP and IGES etc upon various triggers. It's a great OOTB feature, especially for the litany of downstream users.
Now, the critical missing piece is that users have to dig to get these files. It isn't just a search and download like users expect. I'm hoping to work out a customization that can expose these files quickly without having to dig. Ideally I would like to be able to search for a CAD object and right click on it to download the pre-existing PDF, STEP and IGES files. I'd also like to be able to do this from a Product Structure, where I can "Show CAD Data" and then RMB and download any "Additional Files" that are present. In a perfect world I'd also like to do this from an associated WTPart too, though its not particularly required.
Has anyone done anything like this?
