Question

Upload / download files to/from Windchill with standalone browser.

I usually interact with pro/e data through the embedded windchill
interface and only use a standalone browser to do admin stuff. A new user
asked me how to download file content from the standalone browser, and I
am at a loss. Any ideas? I notice that the "tools" pull down menu that
allows you to import/export from a workspace only shows up in the embedded
browser in pro/e.

Hello

This might be a duplicate posting, but I do see 2 requests for info on wc object download.

I think you can also do independent file download, other than the details page or from with in ProE.

From the Product/Folders Page (probably Library or other tables also), between the Name/Number Columns is a "Document Format" Column.

If you hover overan individualobject format icon, it will offer "Download <format> File" hyperlink selection.

It also only downloads an non associated single file.

I have seen this on 2 systems, so I dont think there is any configuration/preference edit needed.
