Question

Why does purging suck so bad?

Is it that hard to add name and number to options for constructing a
purging query? Or how about previewing a purge query without having to
create a job?

Larger question is that I would like to remove some objects completely
from the system but they have some usage in iteration history. The way
around this is to purge the history so that the usage is cleared. This
is a case where selective purging on a specific item would be nice. No
query. No job. Purge this guy right here, that one, do it right now or
tell me why you can't. Argg!

We actually bought Archive (close to $25K) and messed with Purge and Archive for a long time. We finally gave up completely and abandoned - and resolved to just buy more disc space ongoing.

We agree not having Number as a selectable criteria is absurd.

Best bet is to file an enhancement request that will never be
implemented. That type of functionality would make things too easy.

Not a perfect solution, but it sometimes works for cases you mentioned,
Delete Non-Latest Iterations.

Very disheartening since we wanted to use the A&P tool before we migrated over to 9.1!
