Windchill browser performance: IE7 vs IE8; Windows XP vs 7

Recently, I requested advice on improving Windchill browser perfromance, and got a lot of great solutions.
We have implimented the various registry additions/changes.
However, we are seeing mixed results for our remote users (WAN) depending upon the OS and IE browser version.
Specifically, IE8 is significantly faster than IE7, and Windows 7 (with IE8) is much faster than Windows XP (IE 7 or 8).
(We never use Vista.)

Are you seeing this as well?

I'd also expect IE9 to be faster than IE8 and for only IE9 to be in the
same performance ballpark as recent Firefox and Chrome releases -- IE 7
and 8 are significantly slower. Also IE 9 only runs on Windows 7 and
higher whereas Firefox and Chrome run just fine on XP.

Of course IE9, Firefox 5 and higher, and Chrome support is forthcoming
in a future R10 MOR but is not yet official.
