Windchill Discussions, real world usage

I just filled out the survey of Kim Moroni on Windchill Navigation, and I was wondering : is anyone using the "Discussions" in Windchill? On a daily basis? Generally adopted as a formalised chanel to capture and share information on Windchill objects?

We need such a platform, but the "Discussions" in Windchill lack important functions :

- you can't see on the details page there is a discussion going on

- you can't moderate discussions

- you can't forward something added on a discussion to someone else

Hugo.

We use discussions in our ECN release process. The only thing I can
gripe about is the horrible formatting in tree view. It is confusing to
see which subject goes with which message (above or below).

We use it only for one purpose - regular users requesting action from lead users with additional permissions. Agree - the fact that you can't tell whether a discussion exists unless you drill down is a real limitation.

The discussion areas grow fast - we occasionally pull the entire info (straight from the database) and then delete.
