Are you looking for better alignment between engineering tools, processes, and teams? Accomplishing this would lay a solid foundation for your ‘digital house’. The key building block to achieving this is PLM, with a digital thread at its core. In our PLM Virtual Conference on June 8-9, we will outline the steps it takes to ‘get your digital house in order’. Both our customers and PTC experts will show how to deliver greater engineering excellence with improved efficiency, reduced lead times, and reduced operational costs. The event will highlight speakers from Volvo CE, J&J, Steelcase, Toro, and Solar Turbines, in addition to Live Q&A, an Ask the Experts forum and a Networking Lounge. Take a peek at our agenda below: Day One: Keynote: PLM Strategy & Vision (20 min) Keynote: PLM Fundamentals at Volvo CE (25 min) Closing the Loop on Quality: Establishing Digital P
We are excited to be working closely with our PTC Gold Partner, Anark, on Supplier Collaboration. Anark, whose Core software allows PTC customers to transform their engineering design, manufacturing, and maintenance information into advanced technical content and digital workflows, has posted a number of useful blogs on supply chain collaboration and cybersecurity. In 'Supply Chain Collaboration: Top Five Strategies', Anark CEO Scott Williams challenges readers to stop doing the same things with supply chain collaboration and become more agile and responsive - but how, with so many suppliers in the value chain? To learn how, read 'Supply Chain Collaboration: Top Five Strategies'.
We are holding another Tech Tips Webcast this week on Thursday, December 3rd at 10 am EST and we want to invite you to join! Please join Robbie Morrison, Product Management Senior Manager for PLM, on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 10 am EST for our Windchill Tech Tips webcast: Enterprise Visualization for Model Based Design with Creo View 7.1. In this session, we will explore the new improvements that have been built into Windchill Visualization Services 12.0.1.0.Engage with your design early and avoid downstream problems later with Creo View 7.1. Accessing visual product data means faster decision making and ultimately faster time to market. A product demonstration will be shown for the new MBD Analysis package, improvements for dynamic visualization of downstream structures, and updates for document collaboration in Windchill. The On-Demand System Scan for Windchill PLM and RV&S allows system administrators to manually scan their system files for similar recommended improvements on an ad hoc basis. Admins can upload system files to be scanned and receive recommended actions for any known issues or improvements that are detected. The utility will provide you with recommendations to apply on your Windchill installation in order to aid in expediting resolution of existing issues, as well as discovering issues before they become problems. As of today, 260 checks are evaluated for Windchill PLM, and we are constantly adding new detections. We also have a specific support for WinDU – we will add new detections soon! For Windchill RV&S (formerly known as Integrity Lifecycle Manager), we currently have more than 150 detections. Try it today! This service is free for all PTC customers. For the future, we are working on several options: one is about providing with a tool tha
About this event: The CAD-Driven BOM The part-centric methodology orchestrated by Windchill is an integral component to the digital thread, enabling enterprises to realize their digital transformation goals. A model-based approach of driving the creation of the eBOM from native CAD data delivers an automated mechanism providing a highly visual BOM to the extended enterprise. Although this may sound simple enough, CAD design decisions don’t always match the way engineering expects the BOM to be structured. Managing these complex associations while keeping information and changes synchronized, whether made in CAD or to the BOM, can prove challenging. Join presenter Steve Shaw, PLM Solutions Director, on March 11th at 10 am EST, for this Tech Tips session where he will: Explore the recent improvements to the tools and capabilities available in Windchill’s CAD integration and BOM management; Demonstrate how these tools and capabilities can help streamline the proc
Couldn't make the webcast? No worries! This Concurrent Manufacturing webcast replay is now available for viewing on PTC.com. Here are a few more details: In this session, we will take a deeper dive on how Windchill Assisted BOM Reconciliation enables design engineering and manufacturing planning collaboration. With easy access of upstream changes into the reconciliation tool, users can improve product data quality and speed up time to market with better configuration and change management.
Register for Our Upcoming Cloud Tech Tips Webcast The Path to PLM in the PTC Cloud: Migration Made Easy on Feb. 18th As you begin your journey to PLM in the cloud, there are key tenants which must be leveraged in order to ensure a positive, long-term experience: people, processes, and technology. By moving to PLM cloud, you can quickly scale up, lower cost of ownership, enable external collaboration, and decrease in-house burden. Productivity will increase because your admin’s impact will be elevated, as they spend more time on high value activities and less time on tactics. To get started in cloud computing and make the best decision for the company, there are strategic questions IT leaders consider: Which cloud do I need? Which features do I use? What about upgrades and updates? What kind of control do I need? How will I manage my PLM solution and what are the impacts? Join Lisa Hayes, PTC Cloud Portfolio Lead and Vipul Gohil, Principal
