I am using SQL 2016 with named instance, I have installed SQL on machine 1 and also ran 12.o.2.o psi and sql server on machine 1. then on machine 2 which is my windchill server when i am running the psi how can i give the path of machine 1 and i am not able to give following path      Thanks in advance for the help

Is there an ability, configuration or simple customization, to associate a Review Object (Design Review/Peer Review) to a Change Task?Currently there is no Associated or Reference Process Object table on a Change Task. A similar question could be posed for Problem Reports associated to Change Tasks. We often break down our design into CT chunks, releasing at the CT level, and are looking to associate this information to better link the data at the lowest level instead of at the Change Notice/Change Request level. Right now we're just looking for linking, not closure hierarchy or workflow trickery (yet). One would think the Role A/Role B Change Association rules could be configured to allow for this, then the table added on the change task for visibility, though not sure if the system will allow for that functionality.Any thoughts?

From design engineers side, they want to show only Design view searching result, not other view like Service/Manufacturing. How do they change setting?

Has anyone used the PDM connector from Altair? I copied the files over and added the delegates per the Altair instructions, but login keeps failing. Am I missing something?

I need to add a task delegate and I am prompted for the LDAP server admin credentials. Is there a way to look this up? We had had consultants perform the install, but the username and password that were provided do not work. Is it possible to make the changes locally on the server without having to login? I should also note that this does not connect to our corporate LDAP server so maybe it was never set up?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS18I now have two use cases where a revised object, which is the latest available, is showing a later version exists. When you click the link to go to the later version, it instead takes you back to the previous old revision. Furthermore, when looking at the Change Notice, the Released Content shows No Affected Object, yet it is there. Something weird is happening. This behavior just started today and we are unable to replicate in our QA environment.Anyone else experience anything like this?

Hello Community,I am redesigning our WVS and I need your help.Business case:1. I have a Creo part. It embedded in more assemblies. The assemblies have assembly drawing.2. I revise my part, change the geometry and put it in Released state.3. Windchill automatically replaces the old CAD part for new one in all parent assemblies.4. The representation of latest part version is generated and the job marks all parent assemblies as out of date.5. The 3D representation of assemblies are generated. 6. How can I republish atomically the assembly drawings? The part job does not mark these object as out of date. If WVS generates new assembly 3D representation the it has to republish the assembly drawing? How can I connect these two things.I attached a flow chart about the process.

Want to exam the list of Resulting Objects, however, the window size is too small. Each time there are only 3 or 4 objects can be shown. If the list is long, the side scroll bar doesn't care and consistently presents some portion of the list at snail speed. Is there any way to open up a large sized (popup) window of the Resulting Objects?

Hi there,i made a mistake, when I assigned new ACL to an old windchill product.My intention was, that a product could only be seen by the admin but not by "normal" users (Viewer, CAD-author, etc.). But this went terribly wrong.Everyone can still see the product, but not its content. Hi,We are running a version 11.1 Windchill Projectlink on Linux.At the end of a validation workflow, we have a customization which allows the user to select several tasks and set their status to validated.Once the status is validated, a word document is generated with all the comments the users made during the review cycle.The problem is that, sometimes, when users select many tasks and validate them, the files are either not generated (empty filename) or their filename refers to the content of an other file.It is very difficult to reproduce the issue, but when you reduce the number of sockets in windchill configuration to 10, you reproduce it everytime for more than 10 documents generated.It seems to be socket related... does someone have experienced the same issues ?

We have an interesting case where we perform 2 different attribute searches looking for CAD objects but the wildcard search shows less results than the non-wildcard search! For example if we search by our ECN attribute: ECN Attribute Search Number results Type  of results 0046945 2 asm and dwg *46945 1 asm only *46945* 2 asm and dwg 46945* 0 none, as expected Notes about the above tests: 0046945 is an exact search of the entire attribute field All results were performed by adding/removing text instead of copying and pasting the above. System is set to Simple Search and NOT Advanced (Although I think that is only applicable to the index search) Things I tried: My first guess was that there was an empty space somewhere in the file name but the above search results exclude that possibility (viz. the exact text 0046945 works. However I did export to notepad++ as csv to look at the raw text and saw no extra characters in that field that differed between the dwg and asm
