Multiselect Data utility for multivalued attributes

Version: Windchill 13.0

Use Case: Using the + sign on multi-valued attributes with enumeration or pick list is an awful UX design. Has anyone built a data utility or interface JSP to populate using drop down checklist or a multi-select check list (like the type manager has).

Description:

when selecting multiple values for an attribute, there is a + (plus) sign to add another row to pick more values. All other interfaces in the world (including type selection in the search ) us pull-down checkboxes, or pick list

has anyone already built the customization to do this that can be easily plugged in. (Hopefully would be universal to handle any attribute)
