Windchill Navigate

So I have completed the Customizing ThingWorx Navigate PDF and found it very useful, but not being a developer I am having a difficult time moving beyond the information provided.  What I am currently trying to do is a search based on one specific saved search.  In the training material we pull in a list of saved searches.  I figured out how to limit that down to only global ones, but I would like to not have my users worry about selecting the type of search.  How can I set this up to use one search.

Hello All   Recently I upgraded Thingworx from 8.1.3 to 8.4 and Thingworx Navigate from 1.6.1 to 1.9.1 following official PTC guides. During upgrade I did not see any errors or failures but now the Navigate Landing Page has serious rendering issues s you can see from the attached screenshot   There are no javascript errors and all static resources (CSS/JS etc...) are loaded correctly   Thank you   Davide

Hi Guys, I am using Navigate View 1.8. I am getting this error: [context: com.thingworx.webservices.context.HttpExecutionContext@67856339][message: Execution error in service script [ExecuteSavedSearch] in Application Log while loading mashup.  

I have built one textbox, button and grid and binded with PTC-Windchill-Demo-Thing and service is Executesavedsearch and Listsavedsearches. I create a connector which is duplicate of Windchill-integration-connector. I am Navigate View 1.8 with fixed authentication. When i search part number in textbox which i build in mashup, It is not fetching data from windchill. I don't know whether i have connector to correct service or not ! I followed Advance Customization article in Help center to built the mashup. Help me if anyboby knows this issue.

Hi,    I have installed Thingworx Navigate-1.9.1 successfully. I choose Windchill Authentication while installation. Its also configured properly. I am able to login in Thingworx using Windchill user. Its working totally fine. From Navigate also I can Search Part. But while using the mashup" ptc-connected-demo-mashup" , it fails to display result. Hi,      I want to configure Thingworx Navigate using Windchill Authentication . As per given in installation document , we need to generate two files Keystore.jks and TrustStore.jks. Hi,     I have "java 1.8.0_102" installed on my Redhat Enterprise  Linux-7.6 system. I want to install TW Navigate 1.9.1 on same system. The version specified in System  Requirement document is  "java 1.8.0_92". But I have higher version install on my system, so can I continue to install navigate with higher version ? Or, I will have to install the exact specified version ? Also Windchill is also install on same system, so Java Home is set to Windchill java path, So I guess if I changed Java Home path to some other version , then will it affect windchill execution ?  

Hi Developers,   I'm working on ThingWorx 8.0.1 with Navigate View 1.5.0. I was able to perform basic REST Operations such as fetching a NONCE Token from a Service, Creating a part,....   I had to use the URI's that were exposed from windchill for these services. I'm a novice in REST services if there is any document or tutorials which give step by step procedure to create RESTful web services in Windchill side and use the same in Thingworx it would be helpful.   Thanks and Regards, Saran

I want to know if RestEasy framework for developing Windchill Restful Web services is still supported. This is still available in Windchill 11.0 version. What is the road map and recommendation of developing Restful web services. I recall WRS oDATA is supported way going forward however I think PTC is still supporting RestEasy framework.   Another thing Windchill infoengine tasks can be executed by wrapper server in Thingsworx ExecuteTask service. This method is deprecated in the future Windchill releases. What is the recommendation around this?   thanks, Preeti

Does WRS 1.5 has out of the box domain for Workflow and promotion requests? 1) Creating/updated Promotion Request 2) Accessing workflow task information 3) Ability to complete Workflow task   I developed Web Service in RestEasy framework for the Workflow tasks. Hello,   we developed scripts using WindchillConnector template services. Those worked fine with connecting to Windchill and getting data publishing on twx mashups.   Later I came across WindchillSwaggerConnector template. The REST API features seems to be powerful.   So I got few questions. Could you clarify these please ?   1. Why two templates with same " Windchill connection" feature ? reason ?2. Which template should be used in a long run project ? 3. Is there any framework or sample  present to refer on "how to use WindchillSwaggerConnector" more efficiently ?   Many Thanks!Rajesh

I am exploring SWAGGER Rest API. I am able to pull the part structure for latest revision using  /structure/objects/{objectId}/descendants rest call. However, I would like to pull Part structure for previous revisions as well. I have checked parameters used in this API as well. But I don't see any exact parameter where we can pass the revision number and get the part structure.  Does anybody has an idea idea what exactly we need to pass as a parameter to get the Part Structure for previous revision(s)?   Thank you in advance!   Thanks, Rizvan

We have created custom part search application in thingworx navigate which takes input as search criteria and get the results from windchill.Business needs to save this search criteria in navigate application as Saved searches so that user can search from saved searches.

Dears, Anyone have practice can share regarding the HA architecture regarding Windchill Navigate? Does Thingworx connection server a required componet in this kind of configuration?

I found the link types namely:   wt.change2.ChangeProcessLink wt.change2.AddressedBy2 wt.change2.ChangeReferenceLink  In Thingworx under "ptc-windchill-demo-thing" i'm using "Query" service for my use case as shown below for all the link types:   child and parent columns are emptychild and parent columns are empty   No rows are populatedNo rows are populatedNo rows are populatedNo rows are populated     I'm unable to get all the associated change objects. When i searched with  "wt.change2.ChangeProcessLink" type I'm not able to get the child and parent details without which the service will become irrelevant to my use case.   Thanks and Regards, Saran
