Creo vs Solidworks & Cubs vs Indians

How many balls will get pounded out of the Wrigley tonight?  Chicago has extra police on staff for tonight game and roads are closed near Wrigley Park tonight.  Who will watch the game?

    did they change solidworks UI somewhat? i think it looked different in 2015 (different colours at least)

    I could speak on the subject for 40 hrs.    I have used solidworks since 1996 back when it sucked so bad you couldn't do anything at all much less something slightly complicated.  Then improvements came on.  Those developers focused their efforts to development for ease of use as opposed to how Pro/ENGINEER did everything.  Pro/ENGINEER at the time did everything with 30+ modules yet the user interface was still based upon 1992 menu clicks.  Engineer's were so accustomed at the time for learning that ease of use was less of a factor and being above average intelligence found learning easy with Pro/ENGINEER.   This market was great for non degreed people who were willing to learn Pro/E w/ such a great attitude and money and jobs were plentiful for those people.

    In comparing the 2 at my last job, SW 2014 against an outdated 5 yr-old copy of Pro/E, there are plenty of things SW flat CANNOT do.  And the times you can get close, it takes a LOT more features.  I went on the SW forums and ran circles around them.....

    Well, guess THIS question was answered last night!  What a game!  And series!  I'm not a baseball fan, but how could you NOT want the cubs to win.....after NOT winning for 108 years????  And to come back and win the last 3 games straight after being down 3-1?  They certainly deserved it.

      Cubs defiantly won the hearts of many.     I teach both Solidworks surfacing and Creo Surfacing classes.  I have two full weeks+ some of materials for teaching surfacing in Creo.  There is not as much to do in SW however it has come a long ways.  Ive been asking for conics in SW for over 15 years.  They finally got it in 2014  and like Creo can now do higher order curves.  ie. y= x^5 type of polynomials allowing us surfacing people to approach G3 continuity.

      I have been asked to compare SW to Creo and that would be a fun presentation.
