Custom BOM

Hi,

I have a question in BOM generation. I need a BOM in such a fashion that fasteners associated with the component has to be listed after the component. Consider components A,B,C, I need a BOM like A followed by fasteners used for fixing A then followed by B, fasteners used for B.

The history tree of assembly may not follow the sequence.

Hi,

After creating assembly with fasteners, use Component Restructre & move the set of fastners to the required assembly A,B & CWith No/Duplicate recursive option we might be able to achive it.

Hi

You are looking for BOM into assembly or drawing? It will be better to analyse problem if you could provide sample test part with desired output.

Anand,

The reply is of great use. But I'm trying to do in series with Windchill system and other CAD system. It can be either importing the assembly in Creo or just modifying BOM in WC. If I'm importing in Creo to do reorder I worry about stability which I need to experiment.
