Family Table instance error?

We have an assembly which before opening now asks a question regarding resetting family table values to their previous values? See the attachment.


The top level assembly is large...approx 2-3000 parts but it does not contain a family table so I suspect it is for some lower level component. There are some components within the assembly that have had their 'pro/program altered so as to prompt for new values of parameters. I guess this has something to do with it.


So just wondering has anybody else come across this unexpectedly? Any tips on identifying what family table it is referring to? Any idea how to stop the question appearing in the first place?

The only method that might work is "reference viewer". It is mostly use to find missing dependencies, models and ghost file references. It will detect current problems but i suspect your problem could be PDM windchill version files. are you using the latest version file

Try opening your message screen at the bottom of the screen up enough to see what component is listed last in the messages. Or try going to the trails file folder and openiing the trail file and see what sub-assembly or component pro is trying to open on the last line written in.

Does your assembly have any assembly cuts? These are done using hidden family tables and once in a while, a standard family table message comes through on them even though PTC doesn't intend them to.
