imports a DXF file

I am using Creo Parametric Release 12.4 and Datecode12.4.1.0

Our customer imports a DXF file into Creo. Because this DXF contains many entities/lines, the model becomes laggy when they try to rebuild the sketch after import. The customer's workstation is high-end (32 GB RAM, 16-core CPU, 6 GB GPU), yet the performance is still slow. Could you please advise whether they need to increase hardware specs, or how best to process/clean the DXF file for better performance?
