Issue Adding Part with Imported Image to Assembly

I have imported an image onto a part and added the part to an assembly. This part is used in two different places within the assembly, and if I try and add the same part (with the image) to the assembly again the image do not appear. Any suggestions?

I have solved this issue by applying the image as a decal and changing the config.pro option save_texture_with_model to yes. Now I can copy the same part and add it to another position in the assembly.
