Radiation+convection

Hi,

It does not seem possible to have both a radiation and a convection condition on the same surface?

It is physically meaningful.

Is this right?

I found document CS119986.

Resolution
  • It is not possible to model both convection and radiation on the same surface
    • The preexisting boundary will be deleted

Enhancement?

I will do this in Ansys

Charles,

Have you looked at the Mentor Graphics Flo/EFD add-on for Creo?
It's limited, but does expand Creo's ability in this area, though I wish it would do some non fully filled media solutions (like a tube partly filled with water and air).

Don,

There's a 60 day trial too (then it gets pricey).

We have Flow Simulation Professional (Dassault/Solidworks). A bit of a sledgehammer for this job which is only a quick look see design guidance sensitivity study.

Just a shame that's all.
