Splitting a Freestyle/Curvature model across its tangency

Below are some pictures of a rough freestyle model. The question can also pertain to any high-curvature/spline model.

How can we split the model to create top/bottom parts where the split follows the side curvature tangency?

Hi Joseph,

if you have access to a seat of the mold package you can create a silhouette curve. if not there was a conversation a few clicks back on how to use a surface copy and the trim tool to get the silhouette edge, which works great, do a "silhouette curve" search here.

if you have access to a seat of the mold package you can create a silhouette curve. if not there was a conversation a few clicks back on how to use a surface copy and the trim tool to get the silhouette edge, which works great, do a "silhouette curve" search here.
