Hi everyone, I did get a lot of responses this time so thank you all. I apologize ifmy question was not very clear... I was struggling with the terminology. To sum it up, I don't think what I'm looking for is possible. Someone suggested that the handle (or insertion point or crosshair oranchor point... I'm still struggling with the terminology) falls in thegeometric center of the sketch; I believe that is exactly what it does.It works fine for symmetric sketches. Someone also suggested that a coordinate system in my sketch would beused at the handle; that did not work for me. I knew that already, but FYI, it is possible to move the handle in thesketch by pressing and holding the right mouse button. It will snap tosketcher entities. Wasn't sure where was best)I have set pro_group_dir ilcs://prointralink/Root Folder/UDF Library When I try to open the group from that directory on commonspace, I get the message, "can not find group", however, when I open the group from the workspace, it is fine. After a failed drill/tap group, I created a new UDF with just one standalone holemaking sequence and had the same problem. Both udf's work from my workspace, but not from commonspace.??? Any ideas? I've been searching and searching and haven't found any simple way to convert all of my free body to electronic versions using PTC software. Is this something that Mechanica can do?

I was trying to hold off a bit before submitting a summary, but it appears that this topics dead. I recieved one response (Daniel P.) which stated that they have the same issue and asked if we have a thickness parameter in our starter model(s). I cannot find a thickness parameter in ours, but I might not be looking in the right place. Daniel stated, "For us, the error log stops if we delete the thickness parameter.... Deleting any other parameter does not seem to stop the error log......"Thanks Daniel P. Unlike SolidWorks, Pro/E doesn't allow for the use of bend deductions. Our shop like a lot of shops use bend deductions to calculate flat sizes. We have our own BD charts that were made based upon actual test forms with different material thicknesses and bend radii. I can plut those charts into Solidworks and use the bend deductions. I know Pro/E has bend charts you can set up, but they are not based on bend deductions. Can PTC look at furture builds to support entering bend deductions?

I am a college student graduating in one year. I have been using Pro/E in some classes and really enjoy the program. I was wondering if there were any engineering firms or companies that offer summer jobs for college students that use Pro/E. Any information on summer opportunities for college students would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Wenn ich nun versuche das Programm zu starten, erscheint die Meldung: The application is not supported for your Windows version. Aborting the application. Somit kann ich das Programm auch nicht registrieren. Ich habe als Betriebssystem Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 drauf. Hab das Froum schon durchforstet, aber diese Problematik nicht gefunden. Ich hoffe es kann mir hier einer helfen das Programm ans Laufen zu kriegen.
