Hi Team, I have an doubt how to convert the drw extension to tif. Kindly do the needful Thanks, Ranjith
So I'm a student, somewhat familiar with AutoCad, but I haven't used ProE at all. I have access to the program at my school. Most employers list ProE experience as a desired job skill. If you wanted to learn ProE, where would you start? The help file? An internet site? Just start playing with features? Amazon.com has a bunch of books on ProE, but they are pricey enough that I would rather not just select one at random. Are there books anyone would recommend? Thanks in advance, and if there is already a topic about this, a link to it would be much appreciated.
I know that to create superscript you type: cm@+3@# and you get cm cubed. How do you make text underlined, and cool things. Anybody know? Is there a list somewhere?
Guru's, I'm being asked to "comment" on the decision to move from 2001 directlyto WF4. My first thought is that WF4 is a bit too new, and that maybeit would be best to go to WF3 and give WF4 a chance to "develop" a bit. However, this is for a small company with only a few seats, someexperience in WF3, no customer dictated requirements, and I rememberwhen I was in that position and how I used to load up the "new toys"just as soon as I could. On the down side, in this case, there reallyisn't a Pro/E "administrator", so any issues that arises could berelatively costly in terms of time to work around them. SO, myquestions to you all are 1) are there many sites on WF4? 2) have yourun into any issues? 3) do the "enhancements" really make a differencecompared to WF3? Thanks in advance... please reply to the list as is the procedure ( Ithink...???) Paul Korenkiewicz
My problem is that I want a have an option to pick 2 different ¼-20 holes, one using a #7 as standard table calls out and some using a #5. How do I accomplish so it can be used going forward and have my notes show up the same. So far I have to put a prefix like "(S1)" special #1 on the ¼-20 to be able to pick it, my other thought was to create another table of just special like UNC-Special, but both of these options change the way the note looks. Any ideas? TIAEric FlemingEngineering TechnicianITT CorporationResidential & Commercial Water2881 East Bayard StreetSeneca Falls, NY 13148Phone: 315-568-4543Fax: 315-568-4507-<">mailto:->
I noticed in WF3 that tables have changed, In previous versions of ProE the formatting of the previous row was maintained when adding rows to a table. Now when you add a new row to a table you must go back and format your text to match the row above or below. Support told me there is no way to maintain the format when adding rows. Is there a way or is the functionality just not their. Boy, it is annoying.
I am trying to create a map key that involves the "file open" dialog boxin the middle of a mapkey. The problem is that Pro/E records the nameof the file selected and just opens the same file everytime I run themapkey. If I delete the file name from the mapkey then Pro/E stops athat point so I can select a different file but the mapkey does notcontinue after that like it should.Anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this? Thanks!
Does anyone know where I might be able to get CAD models of any Lycoming aero engines?
I am running WF 2.0 and I can not see the additional menu selections for External Copy Geom, Copy Geom, Inheritance, etc... in the Shared Data Menu. Does anybody have any idea why? Or more importantly how to get these menu selections.
Jeff, Wildfire 4.0 has the capability of using Adobe Digital Rights Management(DRM). Check out this white paper:
Has anybody done anything with gage tooling in Pro/Man?
Greeting, I hate to be so needy, but this Siemens controller wants code significantly different from the posts I have laying around. It has these "DEF REAL" statements in the startup, and tool changes have a look ahead "TOOL(13,4.312,7.062)" calling tool number, x, and y locations. I've never had to do more then tweak a post. If anyone has something that might be a good starting place, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks ian
I've created a mirror of a simple extrusion, but now want to add another extrusion to the mirror is this possible? Regards.

Hi pros!Would you be willing to share your library submission process with me. I am in the process of creating one and wouldlike to see if I am missing steps. So far it is as following: Identify the need for a hardware componentCreate or attach a specificationIdentify the standard (MIL, ANSI, ISO…)Does CAD document exist? What product it belongs to?What CAD software it has been created?Vendor nameSend through the approval rout Also if you have created a submission form and willing to share it with me I would really appreciate it!!!Thank you,Dmitry
how do I measure the deflected angle instead of displacement after i have applied load for the model?
Greetings...On some machines, Pro/E seems to start very quickly. On ours, however, it seems agonizingly slow. For example, it may take as long as 45 - 60 seconds before it starts and is ready for the user. I am aware of all of the "usual suspects" and this problem appears on workstations that have local installations, local configuration files, no mapped drives (related to Pro/E), etc. This is also on decent hardware (for example, Intel Core 2 Extreme, Quad-Core 3.0 GHz, 12MB L2 Cache, 4GB RAM, 10K SATA Disk, etc.).Pro/E WF2 M250Windchill PDMLink V8 M010Any suggestions on how to get Pro/Eto start faster orthings I may be missing? Thanks in advance...Mark R. Hey gurus,Does anyone know how to remove the yellow outline that Pro/E generates on a section in the model? I have looked everywhere with no luck. Thanks
Hi Folks, WF2I'm copying groups.Sometimes I can paste them without the copies being dependent on theoriginal, allowing me to suppress the original - that's what I want.Other times when I paste them they suppress if the original group issuppressed. When pasting, I see a difference in the Paste Special dialog: Copies end up independent: (note I uncheck the dependent box but this is howit pops up) Copies end up dependent: (note the dependent box is grayed out) Any ideas how to force the copies to be independent? Regards,Walt Weiss
All, I wish to add items before a mirror merge by copy (not plagiarized BTW).I can't seem to get the insert tool to stay where I want it. It alwaysregenerates the whole model and ends up back at the foot of the modeltree. Is there something I'm missing or is this "intendedfunctionality"? WF2.0 M080 Richard A. I've been trying for two weeks now and it times out every time. I've tried in different browsers (firefox, ie6 & latest), I've tried it at work, and at home! Is it Friday and I just didn't notice? Where are all you people whenI've got a real question?!? 😄Doug Schaefer
Thanks for all the [prompt] responsesNew tool on me - Info > Audit Trail clearly shows boths students IDs on one file and only one on the other - bang to rights. Also, opening the files in notepad and looking at the Header info. For info, this ispart ofa reasonable size submission from 2nd years, the zero mark I will give will mean they fail the module and they will have to face disciplinary action - so I needed to take it seriously.Alright!! Plagiarism not plagarism - after 8 years teaching this lot CADCAM this is only the 2nd time I've had to use the word!Cheers, Sean, D&T, Loughborough Uni
Thanks for all the quick responses! A couple users pointed me to the solution: The user had inadvertently modified a component from our read-only standard parts directory. Thanks again,David
