We have ProE Wildfire 2 and we received data created inWildfire 3.0. Greetings All, I have a user that cannot find the data base in Pro/PDM. But whenPro/PDM starts it says it sees the data base and is connecting. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Mike

Not a Pro-E question, but since we're all in the engineering field I figured I'd throw out the line.I'm looking for a Military standard to test products either for full submersibility or for water resistance. I know it exists, but I can't remember the number. I found Mil-Spec STD 810 but I don't think this is the same one i've seen before.Does anybody know the one I'm looking for? Is there a downloadable manual for 3D novices? The quickstart projects are really great, but I would first like to get an overview (being a 3D and CAD novice) and am looking for a systematic and structured approach.

I just setup two monitors and I think it will be cool. I am running into an issue with the menu;s in proman. How can I move them around? When I go to drill groups it is locked in place and is falling off the screen. It does not let me drag it over?

I had a suggestion come in after my summary that ended up workingperfectly.... thanks Glenn Beer & Arnold Collett. As Glenn put it: "Use the find dialog as you mentioned then in the options pulldownchoose "save querey". It will ask you for the name of a layer, call itwhatever you choose. Like maybe "annotations". I have been using a 5 button mouse with Pro and I love it! Problem is, the left mouse button keeps wearing out...I've been thru 2 now. It WAS a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 4.0. My replacement mouse is a Micorsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. The buttons all seem to be working, but I have noticed some strange behavior with Pro. There are times when it seems like ProE is lagging behind and it needs to "catch up". The screen turns black and doesn't respond for 30secs or so. My mouse cursor is still visible and I can switch to other applications. I'm attributing this to my new mouse as this behavior started shortly after the switch.Anyone seen this before? I know that 5-button mice seem to throw ProE for a loop, but I really like the thumb buttons.

Thanks to everyone that responded. The route I'm going to take for nowis to hide a layer which contains the annotation features within amapkey. The nice thing for us is that we've been using theautomatically created layers (def_layer) with rules to place certainfeatures....so I didn't have to do much setup. The encouraging news is that PTC has added an annotation visibilitybutton to WF4.... Here are a few of the responses:

The consensus is that this is simply not possible. It was suggested that I create a mapkey that does this for me, which I suppose I can do. But on a related topic, all you PTC guys out there, I have an enhancement request for you! Please make it so that Pro/E contains an option to have the layer display status saved automatically when I save the working file.Thanks to all those who responded.

How do you place a parameter in a format automatically?

I've made a broken view correctly, but it is broken with straight lines to do not protrude beyond the object lines. Typically, a broken view has two zig-zag lines that protrude beyond the object lines, but I don't see how to set those as an option..... Joe

All,I just did a ANALYSIS->MODEL->MASS PROPERTIES. I noticed that the mass was in units of TONNE. I went to SETUP->UNITS and found that my units are in fact mm-N-seconds. Good morning all, Is there any way to control sketch entities by layer or color? We havea user who will use only the sketcher at times. He wants to be able tosketch multiple ideas, and control visibility some how, all in the samesketch. I have not come up with anything. Any ideas?
