Does anyone know of a way to create a 3d-cut in 4 planes to show up as a 3d cross-section in pro/engineer.Evan

While solid models for many items are generally available and easy to find, where are the most comprehensive sites for models of hardware, electronic components, vehicles, etc. YOur help is appreciated.

Hello everyone,Today I noticed some unusual code in a posted program. Upon closerinspection, I see that 'CIRCLE' commands are no longer being kept as'CIRCLE' commands after the translation from an '.NCL' file to an '.ACL'file. They are now being converted to 'ARCDAT' and 'ARCMOV' commands.I just performed a test where I reposted a job from last month with nochanges to anything (model not changed, same WF20/M150, same G-Postversion...) The ACL file is now translated differently. I just logged a call with PTC on this, but can anyone explain to me whatis going on? Take a look at the following examples please;

Does anyone have any experience exporting a Wavefront (*.obj) file? We have a company that is animating some stuff for us and they said that this is their file of choice. I can't seem to get it "save a copy" right though. We tried to just use an .igs file, but they said that doesn't work. When it rains it pours. 🙂 I've solved my x-sec issue, but now we haveanother assy that we cannot clip with view clipping.We have an assy (different one than the x-sec assy), and only certain partswill clip, and others won't. In fact, we have the same assy inserted intothis assy 3 times, and 2 will not clip and one does.I have looked for interferences, and deleted them, if any, didn't help.Increased the accuracy, didn't help. The parts that do NOT clip in the assywill clip as individual parts. Any ideas?

Hello,I'm still on 2001.I'm trying to define a new symbol and it's been a long time since I've done this.  I'd like to use the &todays_date system parameter in the symbol and have it update to the current date when the symbol is placed.  How do I do that?  The help files are useless in this.Doug Schaefer

I am trying to port UNIX developed VERB/NOUNs to Windows. Much of my Fortrancode uses QQ variables defined in the insert/g.fh (ex QQLAYNUM andQQENTTYP). No matter what I try, the QQ variables always seem to have thevalue of 0 (zero). Is there a trick that I am missing? I know how to get a text box around a note: @[<note>@] will do the trick. The problem I'm having is when I try to save the note for a later time, such as a callout in a list of notes. i have a flat rectangular wall 1 end round. i want to put a flange on 1 straight, 1 round, 1 straight wall.this will leave 1 bottom striaght end open.i start with a flange trying to select straight, round, straight wall but it will only select the 1st wall.what i'm i doing wrong?this is suppouse to resemble a mail box door!!! thanx steve

I realize ive asked this before, but for some odd reason (after getting a new computer) its not working.To make WF2 open up in a certain folder, you right-click on the icon, go to properties, and change your 'start in' directory to whatever you want... but for some odd reason its not working... any advice?ThanksNick E. This tells you how to load professional FIRE GL CAD drivers on the low cost game card. Evidently the 980 chipset is identical to FIRE , just bios and drivers are different. I have not tried with Proe but should work. Big performance boost if you the have time to mess with it!This will work for a ATI 980 Pro 128 MB card.
