In dealing with suppliers, I sometimes need to convert our Pro/E files toAutocad format. This I am able to do easily, but I am encountering problemswith text size on the converted file. Some, but not all, of the note textis losing its size format in the Autocad dwg file. The affected text isusually larger than the original text in the drw file, making tables jumbledand difficult to decipher. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian BonawitzRipley Industries, Inc.Brian@RipleyInd.com

Is it possible to set as a default for tapped holes not to have a countersink? Furthermore, is it possible to set the default hole type to be tapped hole rather than standard hole?A big complaint I get is that the default tapped hole is placed with a countersink, unless they remember to turn it off.We are using WF2, M080.Thanks,-Andy
Can anyone tell me a good website where I can find cad models for standardhardware such as screws, nuts, etc. Specifically I am looking for a Palnut#SR250.Thanks.

When you know what to do........... it's so easy...Thanks a million to all that helped."Use the Show/Erase box. Pick the NOTE icon and show by view. Pick theview."Christine
Morning to all,I accidently deleted/erased (don't remember which) the call out for a detail view. You know "Detail B, scale xxx"My detail is there and the call out "see detail B" is still there, but try as I might, I can not find out where I can get the detail view call out back..... I do not want to redo everything and I do not want to cheat and just put a text note there.... There just has to be a way to get that back. Please help find my lost sheep, uh callouts....Thanks in advanceChristine
Everyone pretty much agreed to stay away from the 200 watt. They're pretty cheap. Thanks all.
Pros:This is something that seems like it would be terribly easy to do. I have a format that is A size. I need to replicate that format as A0, A1, A2, A3, and A4. Is there an easy way to copy the format to a different size or a way to change the size of the existing format?John
John, If you are going to be in Orlando you can by me a beer! 😉Fred
Thanks! You have to merge first.Make sure all your edges are two sided (?) (all purple, not pink). Ifyou have any pink edges merge them until you're all purple. Select the independent geometry in the model tree. This should make the 'solidify' option selectable.
What exactly is the purpose of sub-layers? Now, to me, if when you made =an existing layer a sub-layer it should not show up as a top level =layer. Just like a file (folder) structure. Is there any way to have =layers behave like that? It sure would help the layer mess here. I would =welcome any and all input and gladly submit an enhancement request =reflecting everyone's (most everyone's) opinion.Dan SchurrCAD FacilitatorEATON Corporation13100 E. Thanx for all the ideas on how to fix my problem. It appeared to be spyware related. GO figure. I didn't think this could ever be a problem, but...I ran SB Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware. Found about 50 items crapping up my system. Pro started fine after removing the junk.Thanx again.Tony-- No virus found in this outgoing message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.9 - Release Date: 5/12/2005

All,Can anyone tell me the purpose/usefulness of this datecode over 2004410? Alternatively, has anyone encountered any new issues with this latestdatecode.I attempted to use the PTC Update advisorhttp://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/update_advisor/UpdateAdvisorSearchCriteria.jsp?lang=enI found that there were NO SPRs/TANs that were resolved by this datecode. Was this just issued to 'close out' 2001? There was still (1) "TOP"priority issue, and (264) "High" severity issues open.I am looking to move to a later datecode of 2001 so that we can upgrade toProI 3.4 first, before moving to Wildfire 2.0.Thanks,Anthony ThompsonBAE SYSTEMS Controls
